EU Condemns Killing of 48 Worshipers, 97 Others By Boko Haram

The European Union (EU) on Friday condemned in strong terms, the gruesome attack on Muslim worshipers in Borno State by Boko Haram terrorists on Tuesday.


Also the same day, 11 defecting members of the dreaded sect were slaughtered by the group, while 11 other innocent people were killed by the sect's suicide bomber on the Bama/Konduga Highway.


During the attack on the mosque near Monguno, 48 people were killed while 11others were injured. The following day, the terrorists killed 98 other people in Kukawa Village, also in Borno State.


The HR/VP of EU, Federica Mogherini, said in a statement: "the killing of around 150 people in two villages in north eastern Borno State and targeting Muslim worshippers during the holy month of Ramadan are another attempt to destabilise the country and the region.
